The Cajas National Park is formed by high elevations ranging from 3,152 to 4,445 meters above sea level that keep in its interior lake systems (lakes), which occupy extensive valleys as boxes.
Cajas National Park is located in the south-central part of Ecuador, in the province of Azuay, northwest of the city of Cuenca.
Likewise, it is possible to observe birds, several of them even in danger of extinction.
